Volleyball in Brazil

Intro

Volleyball, despite not being as popular a sport as soccer, is quite popular in Brazil. Both men's and women's national teams are governed by the Confederação Brasileira de Voleibol (Brazilian Volleyball Confederation) and takes part in international volleyball competitions. The men's team is often referred to as volleyball's "Dream Team" due to its success under coach Bernardo Rezende and is the #3 team on the FIVB World Rankings. The women's team is ranked second in the FIVB World Rankings.
